Patagonia in the Loop is a fly fishing guide service based in San Carlos de Bariloche, working the rivers and lakes of Nahuel Huapi National Park. Led by head guide Ezequiel Speranza, our team of fly fishing guides offers half-day and full-day trips on the Limay River, the lakes of the Manso basin, and the Alicurá Reservoir.
Whether you're after a relaxed half-day on the water or a full-day adventure with a riverside lunch, we tailor every trip to your experience level — from first-time anglers to seasoned fly fishers chasing trophy trout.
Summer here is dry fly season: warm days, rising trout, and some of the best dry fly fishing in Northern Patagonia.

Full & half day trips
Fish with Patagonia In The loop
Half-Day Trip
Perfect for a shorter stay. We fish the Limay River, just 15–19 miles (25–30 km) from downtown Bariloche — about a 30-minute drive. Excellent trout, stunning scenery, no long drives.
Full-Day Trip
The complete Patagonia experience. We pick the best river or lake for the day based on season and conditions — more water, more variety, more time to connect with the landscape.
Both trips are tailored to your experience level, whether it's your first cast or you're chasing trophy trout.

About Us
I'm Ezequiel Speranza — owner and head guide, with over 10 years of experience across Northern and Southern Patagonia, and the Brazilian Amazon.
I'm certified by the Asociación de Guías Profesionales del Parque Nahuel Huapi y Patagonia Norte, and authorized to guide within Nahuel Huapi National Park and Neuquén Province. As a certified Wilderness First Responder (WFR) trained in river navigation, rowing, and rescue, safety is never an afterthought.
For me, a great day on the water isn't just about the fish — it's about the landscape, the wildlife, and the stories you take home.
When I'm not on the water myself, your trip is in the hands of one of the top local guides I personally work with — so the same standard of quality and safety applies, every time.
