1. When is the best time to fly fish in Bariloche and Northern Patagonia?

Our fly fishing season runs from November through the end of May. Fishing conditions and techniques change throughout the season, so we choose the best waters and approach according to the time of year and current conditions.

2. Do I need previous fly fishing experience?

Not at all! No previous fly fishing experience is required. Beginners are always welcome. We will teach you the basics and assist you throughout the day. Experienced anglers are equally welcome, and the trip can be adapted to their skills and preferences.

3. Where do your fly fishing trips take place?

We fish some of the best rivers and lakes around Bariloche and Northern Patagonia. The closest fishing areas are approximately 30 km (19 miles) from Bariloche, about a 30-minute drive.

The destination is selected according to the season, fishing conditions, weather, and your preferences.

4. What is the difference between a Half-Day and a Full-Day trip?

The main differences are the amount of fishing time and lunch. Half-Day trips offer around 6 hours, while Full-Day trips provide approximately 9 hours and include lunch.

A Full-Day trip also gives us more flexibility to reach fishing areas farther from Bariloche.

5. What is included in the trip?

Your guided trip includes transportation from Bariloche, a bilingual certified professional fly fishing guide, all necessary fishing equipment, flies and tackle, beverages and snacks. Full-Day trips also include lunch.

Fishing licenses and National Park entrance fees, when applicable, are not included.

6. Do you provide fishing gear?

Yes. We provide fly rods, reels, lines, flies and all the necessary fishing equipment for the trip.

Of course, experienced anglers are also welcome to bring their own gear if they prefer.

7. Do I need a fishing license?

Yes. A valid fishing license is required. The license is not included in the trip price, but we can arrange it for you before your trip.

The current cost is approximately USD 35 per person.

8. Are the trips from a boat or do we wade?

Most of our fishing is done from a boat or raft, depending on the destination.

There may also be opportunities to wade and fish from the riverbank, depending on river levels, water conditions, and safety.

9. Can a non-fishing companion or children join the trip?

Absolutely. Non-fishing companions and children are welcome. Each boat accommodates a maximum of two guests plus the guide.

If one angler is traveling with a non-fishing companion or a child, they can share the same boat. For groups of more than two guests, additional boats and guides will be required.

10. What should I bring?

We recommend bringing polarized sunglasses, a hat or cap, sunscreen, a windbreaker or rain jacket, and an extra warm layer.

Patagonia's weather can change quickly, so dressing in layers is always a good idea.

11. What happens if the weather conditions are not suitable for fishing?

Safety always comes first. If weather or water conditions are not suitable for the scheduled trip, we can reschedule it for another available day.

We will always discuss the best option with you based on the forecast and fishing conditions.

12. How do I book and pay for my fly fishing trip?

To confirm your reservation, we require a 30% deposit. Payments can be made securely via PayPal.

Once the deposit is received, your fishing date is confirmed and secured. The remaining balance can be paid according to the payment arrangements provided at the time of booking.
