Form the heart of the Manso Basin, located approximately 60 km (37 mi) from downtown Bariloche, about a one-hour drive through the breathtaking landscapes of Nahuel Huapi National Park. These crystal-clear waters are home to healthy populations of wild brown, rainbow, and brook trout, offering some of the most scenic and productive fly fishing in northern Patagonia. The fishing season generally runs from November through April, with the best conditions typically found from December through March, when warmer temperatures bring exceptional surface activity. During late December and early January, a spectacular dragonfly hatch creates one of Patagonia's finest dry fly fisheries, giving anglers the unique opportunity to target large trout with large attractor dry flies and experience unforgettable surface takes in an incredible natural setting.
